My father booked rooms at the Strawberry Inn for our extended family of 16 people, 8 of which are young children during the New Year's week break. It is a clean, standard hotel. The majority of our party was downstairs where the sparse, but adequate rooms consisted of two beds, a flat surface of some sort (some had a table, some had a wide window ledge), tv, dresser, and bathroom. All was clean, no sightings of bugs or mold.
I would recommend going back on Highway 108 and visiting Mia's Pizza or La Morenita, which are right next to each other in Cold Springs. All in all, the people were nice.
