The golf course itself is great for beginners. It is very short, and easy to walk. The condition of the course is typically not bad, as they have recently installed an irrigation system. The weekday fees are fair if you are walking, however the weekend fees are a bit much given you have several courses within a 10 minute drive that are much better in terms of amenities/condition/challenge at a comparable price. Where this course loses what little luster it has is the locals and the management. \r

Wow..you would think you're in a New Jersey soup diner!!! I played there last summer and couldn't figure out where this loud music was coming from...turns out the group of ladies behind me had a radio blaring pop music in their cart!!! With no marshal to be found, you can imagine how it went over when I asked them to turn it down.\r

Everyone deserves a second chance so me and my 3 year old went back to ride and play and we were informed that no one under the age of 6 is allowed in a golf cart. The guy behind the counter said it was their insurance company (yea right...). Having played numerous public and private courses with my little guy I have never run into anything that absurd.\r

The course gets 1 star for being good for beginners and at least having some grass on it.\r

The shop gets 1 star. It might have been 2 because the hamburger wasn't bad, but they were selling early 90's model ""Ultra"" golf balls for 50 cents each (are you kidding me?). That combined with the ominous card game going on in the back made the place very un-inviting.\r

The staff gets 2 stars. One of the young guys that works there was friendly. At least when he wasn't standing outside the proshop hitting drivers over your head while you are on the range.\r

The practice facility gets 1 star (when it's calm), when the wind blows they have a wind mill that makes a horrific grinding noise. They have a putting green, no practice bunker or short game facility.\r

For a course that could have that small town charm it doesn't. They have gas wells punched in several places on the course. This leads me to believe they are making plenty of money on that and really don't need money from greens fees. However, if you live in Haslet or Keller it is close and relatively inexpensive. It will be a while (if ever) that I set foot on that place again.\r
Pros: Cheap, very easy golf course
Cons: service, silly policies
