We adopted from Lifetime back in 2004 and cannot say enough great things about them! They provide one-on-one attention to all their clients, something you can't say about every adoption organization. From the time we first applied to adopt through them until our son's adoption finalization, they were always there for us.
Yes they are ""for profit""; most companies do need to make a profit in order to stay in business! Especially in this economy, no one is able to volunteer 40+ hours of their time a week. Obviously there needs to be someone to answer the phones, assist customers, emails, etc etc...just as there would be in any business.
Lifetime does NOT require you ""do everything yourself."" It is quite the opposite, they guide you throughout everything, providing feedback and expert advice. Families who truly are contracted with Lifetime know that their staff is always there for you, 24/7 in fact!
Pros: Customer service, nationwide outreach
