I've been coming to the Bistro for years. Yeah, cheap beer. Yeah, good burgers. Sure, great. But it's the ambiance about the joint that makes this place one of my favorite bars in the world. (""?World?? Really?? Yep.) The incredible juke box pumping out the earnestness of Wilco, the angry whine of Neil Young, the cool of Louis Armstrong. And the bartender, Jeff, is about as close to ?the perfect New York bartender? that you can get ? fast with the pour and witty as hell. A great hang. (Yes, ?in the world.? Shut up.)
