The Boss and I went to Bash four months ago and had an outstanding meal with friends. Tonight, we were sitting around doing the Marty thing 'I don't know, what do you wanna do?'. I said, let's go back to Bash.
And are we glad we did!
Tonight, right off the menu. The Boss had the Pecan Coated Chicken Breast which was the most succulent chicken breast either of us have ever tasted. When we asked Veronica what the secret was, she said that it is marinaded in buttermilk overnight.
I had the Beef Short Ribs, braised in Mr. Pibbs (kinda close to Dr. Pepper) finished with a homemade BBQ sauce on the grill. Outstanding!!
The chomping in the background is Roxie the Wonderbeagle working on the bone!
I had the Bash Side of Potatoes Au Gratin that was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. A side of Kale with Canadian Bacon finished off a beautifully presented plate.
We finished with a Banana Bread Pudding that had the right touch of vanilla sauce.
Service was outstanding (Nice job, Federico) with visits from both Veronica and Chef Nikki.
Great wine additions shows that Veronica is still adding new wines that are very fairly priced.
Bash is a gem . . . if you don't try it, shame on you. Very good food presented very nicely without any Sobe or Las Olas pretentiousness.
