Needed to Move in a hurry 8/14/2009

I recently lost my house to foreclosure. Unfortunately my only option was to move back home to Michigan. I didn't have much to move since I had been selling whatever I could to cover the bills. My job didnt work out to well either. So I started calling around to different moving companies. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Pounds? All of the moving companies wanted to quote me based on weight. I was astonished. Who the heck knows how much all of their stuff weighs? Well I was trying to figure that out with the different moving companies and I still wasn't sure. So I scheduled a visual estimate. The representative from New Planet came over and calculated my weight for me then took the time to sit down with me and explain peice by peice where the weight is coming from. So we broke down the figures together on what it would cost to do the move myself and it was actually cheaper to use a moving company!!!!! I was still doubtful of this moving company so I welcomed a few more companies over to compare prices. New Planet's was not the lowest quote. And I was sceptical and desperate to save a buck. But I did my research and called the B B B. They actually recommened New Planet Moving to me. However after comparing services I found that New Planet provided much more in their quote than any other company. I am glad I realized that in the begining or I would have paid an arm and a leg just to protect the little furniture I had left. I receive a price that was not to exceed. I heard horrer stories from all the other companies that everyone else will raise their price. Well that didnt happen. It actually ended up costing less in the long run when they weighed my stuff and realized it weighed 250 lbs less than the original estimate. whoo hoo. what a deal Pros: the price didnt change more
