People keep telling me this is a great Rodizio because I always rave about the Rodizio's I go to. But after visiting this place I just don't see this Rodizio being on my Top 5 list of Rodizio's. I am going to point out the right and wrongs about this place.\r

First of all I want to commend this place for the best service I have ever experienced at a Rodizio. The whole time I never had to ask for anything, My drink was always full, my eatting area was always cleaned (new clean plate every 10 mins). But great service comes with a big price. It's definitely one of the most expensive Rodizio I have ever been to at $60.00 per person.\r

Ok, now let's talk about the most important part of a Rodizio, the MEAT and food. I didn't see much variety of meats, it was the basic selection of chicken ,beef, and pork. The place lacked some variations of beef cuts and the meat was mostly cooked to medium and medium well. A lot of the Rodizio's that I have been to ask you how rare you want the meat to be, Plataforma doesn't really ask, and if you ask them to cut you a rare slice of meat, it's still medium. But the meat they use are definitely the best grade of meat you can get. Also this place isn't really creative on the ""Bacon wrap meats"" (ex. chicken wrap in bacon, turkey wrap in bacon). I have been to some places that had everything they served wrapped in bacon, it's a little excessive but you can never have too much bacon. Three things bothered me about the meat they served, first is the fact that they serve Ham as one of their meats. Ham is for breakfast not for a Rodizio, Second is that they don't have a cut of prime ribeye steak, They have a great prime rib but no prime ribeye steak, I think prime ribeye steak is one of the most delicious steaks, it's a must have at any rodizio and lastly they don't have an unique meat, for example, alligator, quill, duck, pigeon (no pigeon in NYC? come on?!?) or frog legs, something that you don't see or normally eat. i think duck would have been a nice addition to their list of meats. Enough about the meats and lets get to the other stuff. Their salad bar is definitely very very nice, good variation, some sushi, seafood and very fresh greens. some different about this place are their list of sides, you get to pick from a dozen list of sides that goes with your meats. And yes like everyone said they have a great wine list.\r

My rating was really based on how the meats were and it didn't stand out for me. Yes they do have a lot sides but I eatting at a Rodizio to stuff myself with sides and they do have a great wine list, but any decent red wine will do for me. Yes the service is great and the place is fancy but I am not going to a Rodizo to impress my date while I eat a few lbs of meat (oh yea that's definitely impressive). When you go to an rodizios you want to be impressive by the different cuts of meat and how well they are cooked and experience unique flavors and this place just didn't do it for me. I would give it a 4 but the price I had to pay for a place like this is kind of a let down.\r
