My sister and I had breakfast at the Richland Avenue, Athens, Ohio McDonald's yesterday. We both love egg macmuffins and have eaten lots of them at McDonald's across the country. The egg macmuffins at this location were inedible, tasting of spoiled butter. When I told the manager that the butter was stale, she acted as if I was crazy to think that was the case. My sister, myself, and another patron all agreed that the butter was 'off.' The Athen Ohio McDonald's was a BIG disappointment, and not what I am used to from this food chain.
