I was interested in the radiant barrier product being promoted by Dixie home crafters and had a sales associate visit my home to discuss the product. The sales rep was very professional and I enjoyed our discussion, but explained I was not going to make a decision on the spot for thosands of dollars and wanted to do some addtional research. In addition I provided some contact names of friends for a "marketing package" discount but I was promised if I decided to not purchase the product they would discard these contacts. After additional research I discovered the true pay back to my investments for the product would be approx. 7 years at the price they quoted, therefore decided against moving forward with the deal. I had explained to the sales associate I needed to be in a 3-4 year pay back or it was not worth it to me. Anyway they proceeded to contact all five of the contacts I had provided even though they had committed they would scredd this information if I did move forward.
In the end they are high pressure sales folks with goals of making customers make on the spot decissions. They use the old "I have to call my manager" approach to continuing to barter on price until you either buy or ask them to leave.
Pros: Good rating once contracted
Cons: High pressure sales approach and dishonest
