I was visiting a friend in Atlanta two weeks ago, and she suggested I get an haircut since we were going out that night (and I had just started growing my hair longer again). I am not the type of guy who typically likes to spend money or time on my appearance, but that is mainly because I am never quite sure if a particular haircut really works for me . When I sat down with Nilan, my whole approach toward getting an haircut changed. She spent a good deal of time pointing out specific features that could be either enhanced or minimalized, and explained how all these adjustments would culminate in an actual style. It was the first time I really ever felt confident in a stylist's opinion of how I could look BETTER. Even my girlfriend said it was the first time she had ever seen me with a ""good haircut,"" as opposed to the typical short haircuts I had always preferred. She really was terrific...
Pros: Taught me what to look for in an haircut
Cons: I live in Florida
