I was referred to Dr. Amy from my acupuncturist for chronic headaches and neck/shoulder pain.
Like many people, I spend my days sitting at a desk in front of a computer for long stretches of time. As a result, I’ve developed the bowling ball syndrome-that is, I feel that my head is a bowling ball that I’m trying to carry with my neck. This in turn causes headaches, stress and tension in my neck and shoulders.
Massages helped in the short term and I’ve had great success with acupuncture but I felt that I needed a long-term solution to correct my bad posture.
To say that I have been pleased with the results would be an understatement of the positive effects that I’ve experienced. I felt relief in my occiput and neck immediately. I’m continuing to gain range of motion in my shoulder that I had previously accepted as limited.
However, the most unexpected results have been my increased energy and mood. It’s hard not to smile when you are standing straighter and free from pain.
