Disappointing Service 7/9/2009

We booked the house for our wedding reception in April 2009. It was a nice setting and the food was pretty good. But the service was poor. We were charged about $4 per person for ""beverage service,"" which consisted of two coolers that weren't restocked until, I, the bride, requested four times that they were refilled. We also paid $1 per person to have soda available, which they didn't put out until the dance portion of the evening. We assumed it would be available at dinner. The bathroom on the third floor ""ballroom"" was out of order--very inconvenient for our guests who then had to go down to the single bathroom on the first floor. They also charged us for a security guard who wasn't there. The waitstaff were so concerned with resetting the tables for the next event that they didn't pay attention to us--the paying clients who where in the house at the time. Our guests were constantly shooed around so they could clean/reset. I sent an email to the owner the day after the wedding to explain my disappointment. The best thing they could have done was refund part of the money that we paid for the services that were not rendered, the least they could have done was send an apology for poor service that marred our otherwise great wedding. They did neither. Pros: Unique house Cons: Bad service, one bathroom more
