I was so excited to try 4th and Swift for my birthday and asked my husband to make a reservation. We got there and we both immediately liked the ambiance, even though it wasn't very crowded. Our server didn't seem to notice us for a while and just wasn't very attentive throughout our time there, even when there were only about 3 other tables there after we had been there about 20 minutes (which was a little depressing). And my husband had written in the online reservation that it was my birthday AND told them again when he confirmed the reservation that day but there was never any mention of it when we were there. It just wasn't special at all. To me, the best quality a restaurant has is good service that makes you feel special and glad you made the effort and spent the money. I did not at all get this feeling at 4th and Swift and am sorry that I wasted my birthday dinner on it.
