While in FL on vacation we stopped at the Target in Davenport, our car broke down and had to have it towed. It was late in the afternoon on Friday July 3rd,2009. The only place we could find to get a rental was Priceless. My husband called inquiring about a car and price, when we were quoted a price that was extremely high, my husband questioned it, and when told that we were waiting in the Starbucks at Target the gentleman said that if we could afford Starbucks we could afford his prices--not very professional. We were quoted $60 for one night and $200 for the weekend with another $200 deposit. We ended up booking for the whole weekend since we were not sure when our own car would be fixed, and were told that even if we brought the car back early we would not get any kind of refund. At the time of boooking we had to decide when we would be reurning it, we booked for the weekend since we weren't sure. The gentleman came and picked my husband up from the Starbucks/Target that was down the street from Priceless and I was surprised to see what kind of car it was--an old Mitsubishi Lancer that was filthy and had half the dash ripped up. There was no plug for our GPS, it was completely ripped out of the dash. The car was old, filthy and smelled. We returned it first thing the next morning, but still ended up paying the $200. They knew we were in a bind and took full advantage and gave us a horrible car. I have rented cars many times and have never seen a rental car in such bad condition with such poor customer service. Their phone book ad said they had late model, clean cars. That is not the service we recieved.
