Epic Roasthouse, A Disappointment 6/1/2009

My party of 6 had dinner reservations at 6:30. We were seated immediately and proceeded to check out the menu. Waitress took our order for appetizers first. We nibbled on our first course with the book-like menus on our laps or on the table. It wasn't until we were well into our first course that the waitress came around to take our main menu order. My husband asked for the prime rib in which the waitress said they had run out. My sister requested the whole fish and was also told the same. How could you run out of these two main items so early in the evening? First of all, the waitress should have alerted us ahead of time that these two menu items have run out. Instead, the two of them had to go back to the menu to relook what their second choice would be. Then, waitress came back and said she had good news. There was one fish left and my sister could have it. Another table decided not to order the fish. \r \r The meat items were disappointing. I ordered the lamb. My 3 riblets of lamb were very fatty. It was a good thing I wasn't terribly hungry. My husband's burger was overcooked. The ribeye for two was nothing spectacular and we all said we could have done a better job cooking this at home.\r \r I wouldn't call this restaurant a steakhouse by any means. It's our first dining experience at Epic and our last!\r Pros: Nice view and spacious dining Cons: Ran out of menu items; food did not meet up with the pricing more
