Pull up and you’ll see green and white gingham curtains, a dinghy capsized on the roof, and the sign that says “attitude adjustment inside” with a baseball bat under the words. . Our first time there I watched a platter-sized pancake that looked thin, fluffy and light go to the person in the booth behind us…I changed my order and have been returning ever since. I need real maple syrup with my cakes so Candy keeps my syrup for me!! How’s that for home kitchen? The guy with me (husband) is an egger and he drools for the omelet: bacon, cheese, tomato w/ 3 eggs. Sometimes he goes for the two egg omelet and a piece of Candy’s apple crisp made with two kinds of apples…keep the coffee coming.\r

All of this is served with smiles, warm conversation, a witty repartee or two and, the rarest of rare, good old-fashioned neighborhood love. \r
