My very first experience at Dolce was in April of 2009. I had known about the salon for some time as my roommate frequented it often. Before I experienced Dolce myself, I thought of it as just another high end, overpriced, snooty salon. I would tease my roommate about being pretentious and spending too much on her salon services. Finally, she convinced me I had to try going there, that she knew I would love it and their prices weren't as bad as I thought. Dolce was running specials at the time so I ended up being able to get a bikini wax, leg wax, and facial all for significantly less than the mediocre salon I usually went to. I can't say enough about my first visit. The staff was incredibly friendly. I felt at ease, even in my gym sweats. Everyone was fun to talk to and seemed to really like being there. When you are waiting they bring you to this beautiful peaceful luxurious room to spend your time in until you get your services done. They provide you iced tea, lemonade, or water and you sit on a plush leather couch with an abundance of soft pillows surrounding you. Calm soothing music plays in the background as you watch the beautiful fireplace or listen to the cascading glass waterfalls, all while you are facing an amazing view of the Arrowhead area. I made a joke to my roommate as we waited that I would pay money just to sit in that room. Receiving my salon services was an absolute pleasure as well...and since I was getting waxed that says a lot! Danielle takes her time and takes every measure she can to minimize the pain, in fact, it was the least painful waxing experience I have had. The facial she gave me was AMAZING. I have been given gift certificates to high end spas and had many different facials and I can say bar none this was the best facial I have EVER had. I left that day feeling amazing, relaxed, beautiful, and already thinking about my next visit at Dolce! I couldn't wait to go back...Dolce can count on me as a regular from now on. They more than won me over. :)
