We contacted Maytag for a local repair service in Columbus, and they recommended Capital City Appliance Service. We will contact Maytag immediately to question why they would refer a customer to a company that is not BBB accredited. We spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone explaining countless times what problem was occurring with the washing machine (agitating but not spinning). They sent a repairman to our home, and with the same explanation we had given over the phone 2x, the repairman knew immediately what the issue was. A mere $300 transmission! We have no idea why this same diagnosis was not suggested on the phone call, because if it had been, we would not have scheduled a repair call. The repairman admitted that he replaces at least 2 transmission a week on these Maytag appliances, so obviously Capital City is aware of the problem. Sounds like a company who tries to make money on unnecessary repair calls. Our biggest mistake: Not checking this company's BBB rating
