I read the review in the LA Times a few months ago -- that's when BiMi was just getting started and the staff actually made an effort in order to attract business. Well, now that BiMi has more business, they are more concerned with cranking through the customers instead of providing quality food and a good experience. The reviews of this place that are old or by people who ate off-times are the only ones which are positive -- read back and see what I mean.
This place used to be a regular hang out for me and my friends. We used to like it because the prices were reasonable and the food was edible. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't superb either. Well, now in addition to poor service the food portions were smaller and the prices were higher. When I asked them to take back the albacore because it didn't smell right the main lady became very upset, took the food and still charged us for the smelly fish! I was very disappointed especially since I was a regular.
If you've never been to BiMi, my goal is not to discourage you from going. Rather, I want you to know that you should have low expectations in order to be satisfied with their mediocrity, average fish (at best), and mean/rude attitudes.
I will never go back! it's worth to pay extra and get good service and better food.
Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: Bad Service, Bad Food
