Worst Service Department 5/5/2009

My mother buys a new 2009 Rav4. At 800 miles the battery is dead. She needed to be somewhere at 4AM so I let her use my car. I also needed a car since the weather that day was not motorcycle friendly. I take out the dead battery out of the new Rav4 and take my ""second"" car with the battery to Toyota of Seattle. This should be a simple exchange. After wasting two hours at Toyota of Seattle getting blamed for leaving the lights on (Duh, the 2009 Rav4 has timers) and having a parts employee carry my mother's registration around the dealership and talking to me as I was stupid. I took the battery back to my car which a Toyota of Seattle employee called a ""Pile of sh**"". Okay this 1977 AMC Gremlin works and the 2009 Toyota does not. Get a clue. Needless to say I wanted to replace my main car with a new truck. After looking at the Tacoma and with the service experience at Toyota of Seattle. I got a similar Ford Ranger for $15,000 instead of the $25,000 for the Tacoma. If this is way Toyota and its dealership chain wants to treat customers that is fine. This is the way American Motors did it. Need I say more? Cons: Where do I start? more
