I will say that I consider myself a food critic and I am very particular about certain foods.
After reading many reviews on Oakmont and how many people love their baked goods, I also wanted to try it. It took almost an hour to arrive at the bakery and I was hoping to pick out a cake for my wedding. I was going with chocolate cream and fudge filling.
Well, I was disappointed and disgusted by the taste! It tasted chalky and artificial. Not light or airy but heavy and bland.
Honestly, you could find a cake like this at a local supermarket and it would probably taste better than Oakmont's.
The other baked goods looked very cheap...I highly recommend LINCOLN BAKERY IN BELLEVUE! Nearly everything they make is delicious and I have decided to have them bake my wedding cake.
If you consider yourself a food critic, don't buy (at least) the cakes at Oakmont.
