I went about 2 months ago to get a hair cut. I got butchered by some greek guy who wouldn't shut the F-up about how great he was at cutting hair. It was uneven and looked like shiiit. After reading the glowing recomendations on this site, I decided to go back and get it cut by someone else. I went to some old guy. I asked for a trim, he gave me a long-island blowout....and it was uneven. It cost $50 to go to real salon and get it fixed. The stylist said he hadn't seen a butcher job that bad in years. Astor Place is garbage...its like an assembly line for awful haircuts. I will never go back and unless you know someone there - I suggest you stay away. My $17 cut actually cost me $70 when you include the cost of getting it fixed. I have short, very easy to cut straight hair.
