turned away dying cat for being short on cash 5/30/2009

Took my dying cat to them to try and save his life. I had been a client for years. Due to my own high medical bills, I didn't have enough money to pay the cost to hospitalize him that day. However, spousal income sufficient to pay hospital bill in three large payments. They turned my dying cat away, in not so many words, because VCA policy is to not allow payments. Doctor's notes say I chose to go elsewhere. What a lie - I chose to try to save my pet's life! Stay away from VCA, no matter how caring the staff appears to be. If you're short of money in an emergency, they'll let your pet die in the parking lot on the way out. Pros: good hours Cons: parent company callous more
