I have a house that is 1 year old and still under warranty. The AC/Heater has already had multiple issues on it. I really think the problem is that Big Tex is too big. They don't have enough qualified techs to support their business. I get the feeling they will hire anyone off the street to work for them. I have a unit that is on two different thermostats. One for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. The first problem was that the AC stopped working in the middle of the summer. The temperature was 100+ degrees every day. They kept sending techs out to fix the problem that didn't know what they were doing. Each tech would claim that the tech before him didn't know what they were doing. I asked them to send a master AC tech and instead they send a supervisor. The supervisor tapped on the damper and the AC started blowing. I thought the problem was fixed but it wasn't. There was a faulty peice of equiptment controlling the damper. The upstairs damper stayed open and cost me extra money on my electric bill. Over the winter another guy came out and fixed that problem. This was after they sent 4 other techs. The upstairs AC stopped working again. I can feel cold air blowing into the attic. This is rediculous. It's a brand new house.
