I had expected more out of Little Tijuana Restaurant in Minneapolis, I was very disappointed. I have gone to very good other Authentic Mexican Restaurants in the past this wasn't one of them! For an example I will drive 100 miles to New Ulm for Plaza Garibaldi for Authentic Mexican. Their prices are equivalent and proportions to Little Tijuana, but their quality of service and food are much higher. At Plaza Garibaldi they believe the customer comes first. Unlike Little Tijuana where if you do not like your food they will argue with the customers, and make you pay for something you do not want to eat. At Plaza Garibaldi if you have a problem with your food or it's a mixed up order they're more then happy to fix it for you. At Little Tijuana you pay for your chips and salsa, the chips aren't worth eating anyways because it seems they re-fry their chips. At Plaza Garibaldi you get chips and salsa free with your order, the chips are fresh and tasty. At Little Tijuana's my drink was $2.75 with no refill. At Plaza Garibaldi it was $1.85 for soda with refills. Little Tijuana's atmosphere is dark and grungy. Plaza Garibaldi is light, festive and clean. Little Tijuana's is not customer service friendly that is noted on their sign on the wall that reads No checks, cash or credit only and only one credit card per table. Don't ask we will not split the check. At Plaza Garibaldi they're are more then happy to take more then one credit card and they will split the check. Also in the menu for Plaza Garibaldi you may substitute in your meal order. The point is I think you can see the difference for yourself between two individually owned Mexican Restaurants.
Pros: funky and cute wait staff, artsy,
Cons: customer service, Management, and quaility
