Tapas OK-entree & Paella Yuk 3/29/2009

My husband and I attended a wine dinner with a group of people. We ordered our entrees ahead of time and the restaurant also knew how many would attend. The tapas were good, but the paella was not. It tasted as though they used turmeric instead of saffron. They ran out even though they knew how many would be there and my husband agreed to receive an alternate, which was cubed fried potatoes with a drizzle of some sauce. They were soggy, the sauce was so-so and he did not eat them. For the entree I ordered the Rib-eye steak that was supposed to have a blue cheese sauce on it. It came with about 15 cloves of garlic on top and NO blue cheese sauce. The steak was cooked correctly, however it was a thin piece of meat and had alot of fat that I could not eat. I maybe had 10 small bites of edible meat, which cost us $55. My husband had swordfish served the same way with garlic cloves all over it instead of the sauce it was supposed to have-cost $40. The flan desert was fine. As for the ambiance there, it is dark, dreary, and very black like you were inside a coffin. My husband and I decided we would never eat there again. I was looking so forward to the Paella and was very disappointed. Pros: Tapas and flan were OK Cons: Entree overpriced for what you got more
