Dr. Hardwick-Smith, Dr. Jurney, Pam, Brandi, and the other nurses and staff from CWCC have been taking exceptional care of me since I came in for my first appointment when I was 6 weeks pregnant.
Although they've worked with so many patients over the years, they were still excited and happy for us when the ultrasound scan revealed that my husband and I were going to have a healthy little bundle of joy in 9 months. At 39 weeks, Dr. Hardwick-Smith and Dr. Jurney helped me deliver a healthy beautiful baby that was unfortunately breech. I wasn't even nervous in the OR because they had assembled such a proficient medical team to perform the C-section. The birth and delivery went beautifully, and the doctors let me admire and bond with my baby right away. As a mother herself, Dr. Hardwick-Smith gave me the insight and understanding I needed when I was feeling overwhelmed with pain and fatigue in the hospital. I had a really rough night one night when the night nurse that was on duty at the hospital forgot to check up on me and administer my next dosage of pain medication. In fact, all the nurses and medical techs were wonderful except that ONE nurse and ONE of the head nurses (that was on duty that night who was not helpful). When Dr. Hardwick-Smith came in to check on me that morning, I was an emotional wreck and extremely fatigued. She was sincerely concerned and knew just how to make me fell better immediately. She waited in the room with us while my husband looked up the phone number of the pharmacy near our house so she could call in the prescription for my pain medication herself. It was there and waiting for us to pick up on the way home from the hospital.
I really admire how Dr. Hardwick-Smith oversees such a remarkable and compassionate practice with all of these amazing professionals while raising a family of her own. I am happy and appreciative of the relationship I have with my doctor. CWCC is the best OB/GYN practice in Houston!
