My husband and I are new to the Houston area, and we discovered the Hobbit Cafe a few months ago. We LOVE it! The food is great, the wait staff are friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is very magical/hobbity, and if you are a fan of Tolkien, the owner's family was a good friend to the Tolkien family...just a little random trivia. We have a 4 month old baby, and we have taken him with us every time we have eaten here, and the staff are very friendly. Obviously, he is a pretty happy little guy, but even if he did start to fuss, we take care to make sure we are not ruining anybody's evening/dinner. I have a child, and I don't want to hear a screaming baby while I eat! \r

The best appetizer I have had there are the cream cheese shrimp rolls. I'm not a fan of shrimp, but these things are tasty! I also love their wrap...usually I get it with chicken, but the tuna is great, too. The hamburgers are incredible. The carrot cake and the chocolate mousse desserts are worth saving room in your tummy for.\r
