Dewberry Downs is a safe, quiet town home community with easy access to 31 and 65. I like that the bedrooms are on the top level and the decks are HUGE, and to my knowledge the only ones you can legally have a grill on in Hoover. The firewalls go all the way to the roof in between the units which offers more safety and noise reduction ( I have rarely heard anything from my neighbor's apartments even when I had a neighbor with multiple children next to me). The staff is friendly and helpful including resident management and an on site owner. There has been a lot of upgrading and remodeling since I moved in and it's very clear that while the units are old, they are in great shape! Dewberry Downs is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood with reasonable prices and in a great location that is convenient to all of greater Birmingham.
Pros: Great location, Staff, and value.
Cons: Some dated bathroom countertops and closets are average in space (this is offset by access to atic storage)
