...the instructor jessica, and everything shockra studio stands for! they deliver on the promise of ""providing an un-intimidating environment to those seeking health and happiness""... and make learning dance fun, even when it's pushing your limits of skill, rhythm, and cooridination. i enrolled in the absolute beginner hip hop workshop having NEVER taken a dance class, and (as much as i enjoy dancing to hip hop) having NEVER danced in daylight/sans cocktail. jessica made the whole experience comfortable, engaging, and fun and helped the handful of people in my class learn as a group, with individual pointers when needed -- which was never awkward since she is so bubbly and encouraging. she always makes sure we all are on the same page before moving on, and tailors the lesson accordingly, which i think is essential to a beginner class.\r
