This bakery is a family tradition. For many years I have given Darlene's a picture of my child's favorite character to replicate on a birthday cake. Our family can't wait to drive to Darlene's before the party to see the end result and it is always above and beyond what we expected. Not only are the cakes beautiful, they are delicious. I order cakes large enough to serve the children and their parents and can count on compliments. This is evidenced by the fact that I just ordered a birthday cake for my father's 70th birthday and am transporting it from Tennessee to Alabama rather than ordering from a local bakery in their hometown.
