I took my old auro there and needless to say i was taken by surprised that i needed a transmission. i had just bought the car a couple of weeks ago and now my car is still sitting there with drive out tags in there parking lot. They have my car and they say i owe 489.00 plus taxes to get it back. I have a after market warranty and they are willing to pay for it but the manager wants more money from me to fix it. They (warrranty company) is going to pay 1600.00 for repairs and which i thank is more than enough but Shannon said that i would still owe 1000.00 out of pocket, which if u know how the economy is thats a big number to come up with right now. Its a shame automotive shops are greety and think that consumers are so gullable like myself. I have learned a valuable lesson and hopefully i will get my car back soon, with the help of legal aid and the car lot owner. The owner from the car lot has told me that they have been through this before and he will never recommend his customers back to TRANSMISSION OF AMERICA
