This past weekend I purchased a 52" Sony LCD from the Albany store. After finding one that was actually in stock, the sales person and geek squad person at the counter kept trying to get me to purchase an extended warranty and noise suppresion equipment. They told me that LCD TV's easily break as compared to a "regular TV" and that the noise suppression equipment would improve the performance of the picture. All of these are really untrue (I work in the industry). None the less, I avoided the additional purchases and told them I would be back to pick up the TV. I arrived later that afternoon and nobody was at the customer pickup counter. After 10 minutes I walked over to a cashier who would only tell me that I should continue to wait at the customer pickup counter. I eventually connected with the on shift manager and commented on the high pressure sales tactics and the lack of customer service.
