Tom Leach Roofing replaced the complex roof on our 1893 Victorian. They tore off the three layers of asphalt and the cedar roof beneath them. They put down a plywood roof deck and underlying. They also needed to remove the built-in gutter (old galvanized covered with rolled roofing)and build an integrated gutter system of copper. They also replaced a skylight and put in ridge vents (and needed a standard vent or two to get the right airflow). Our eaves are high and the roof is steep. Several roofers simply turned us down or didn't return our calls for quotes after they saw what we had. While our roof was expensive, this is nowhere near the highest price we were quoted and not too much more than the lowest. We get lots of people stopping on the street to tell us how much they love our roof. Who would have thought that a roof would get this kind of response? I have to say, they really did a great job.
