Great Food, Great Service, Great Sound 11/28/2009

I find the service to be excellent, caring, and dependable. After many dinners and shows, I proposed to my bride here, at a table near the fireplace, and they made everything perfect, with so much class. We will definitely celebrate our first anniversary at Vibrato this May! The ambiance is great. Warm, cozy and attractive, filled with art and a cutting-edge sound system. The owner is Herb Alpert, of the Tijuana Brass and A&M Records, and most of the art is by him. He also knows about sound quality, which is why his place sounds so good. We also enjoy Vibrato's food, and consider the prices very fair for what we get, which is the best prime steaks in town, comparable to Mastro's, Cut, Nick and Stef's, Wolfgang's and Arroyo Chop House. The difference is that most of these charge considerably more, and don't have great live jazz free (most nights), making them all more expensive, and a lot less attractive than an evening out at Vibrato. My wife is not as much of a steak lover as me, and she usually has the fresh fish, or a Dungeness crab salad, which she loves. We usually share a dessert, either the moist bread pudding or the buttery shortbread crusted blueberry pie, the best either of us have ever tasted. Early this month, we met friends from the Valley at Vibrato, and they had a great time. We saw Gianni Russo, from the Godfather film, who did a classic Vegas-style show. Great fun! Pros: great quality prime steaks, perfect service, great bar Cons: hard to get in the bar on weekends, needs early reservations more
