Not Worth the high price 10/4/2009

We hired this company to do inspections on a property and paid $3,000 for structural, mold and home inspection. Once they were done, we realized that they didn't inspect the fireplaces, did not do termite inspection and during inspection, did not test electrical outlets on the floor. I had to remind them to do that. It took five days to return the home report, but mold report was finally given to us verbally on the last day of our inspection period which was on a Friday afternoon. ( I called everyday 2-3 times a day and my call was never answered. I finally 'caught' someone that answered the phone and complained) We did not have any time to get mold specialist out to the house before the inspection period expired. We finally got the mold report (written) the following day after our inspection period expired and received it from the VP of the company, NOT the guy that did the inspection. The guy that did the inspection was the VPs son and we never heard from him again. As a result, the contract on this house was cancelled. Not one person from this company called or emailed an apology or explanation. For the price you pay, everything should be inspected and reports given in a timely manner. We were completely disappointed by their performance and wish we had our money back and the house of our dreams. Cons: Inspections not thorough; report not delivered timely. more
