After being rear-ended I took my shop to Demo's as suggested by my insurance.
At drop off, they seemed very annoyed that I was even there, but I did not pay too much attention to it considering it was early Monday morning. We all know how Mondays are.
The repair work was done very quickly and they called me on Wednesday so I could pick up my car. After some discrepancies with what I thought was trunk damage, I signed my ticket and was on my way.
(I thought I saw what looked like "buckling" in my trunk but they explained that is simply where the parts are welded together and there was no actual "buckling"). At the very mention of my concern, Edward became very rude and unprofessional. He would not even allow me to finish my sentence before he would either cut me off or tell me that he has been doing this for a very long time. After getting the issue actually clarified, I drove off.
Only to realize that they STOLE from my change compartment. I put every single piece of change that I obtain in my car compartment, in the event of gas shortage or fast food, etc. All the Demo's left me...was Nickels and Dimes. I easily had about $12 worth of quarters and dimes in there....they took it all. Simply left me with Nickels and Dimes.
I did call Edward and he stated that he would ask his manager to see if they could reimburse me, so far no call back, and I doubt that I will get one.
I know it is only probably about $12, but it is the principal behind it that really makes me so upset.
Last, when Edward called and told me about my car being ready, he stated that they "threw in" a free oil change. However, my paperwork does not reflect that one was done and they did not replace my sticker in my windshield either. So...do I take Edwards word that they Actually did an oil change? I think, better to be safe than sorry and I don't trust a word from Demo's and will never recommend them to anyone.
Pros: work was done quickly
Cons: They were very rude and took money from my car
