It's all subjective. My perspective is I am a 33yr old grad student at UW, single, white, hetro, male from the NE, moved to NW 2 yrs ago. Shultzy's is conveniently located and has good Euro style beer (micro brew), not a brewery. They have large boots of beer for social group drinking. Atmosphere is calm/warm with wood paneling and a fire place in front and picnic area in back for the summer. The owners put in effort into maintaining it well (not always the case on ""the Ave""). The food menu is diverse leaning towards German/American style, but is slightly expensive for the area. ($18-$22 for lunch and a beer, including tip; dinner is a little more) Come sit at a table with a bunch of friends and it's a great place to be.
Pros: Beer, atmosphere, location.
Cons: Price, food
