I Beg Your Pardon... 10/1/2009

I was also a guest at the wedding referenced above. In addition, my family and I have enjoyed dining at Charles at Smugglers Cove restaurant for years. The food is wonderful, the staff is professional and friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely; be it inside in the elegant dining rooms or out on the deck. The reason that the hosted alcohol was only served for an hour and a half is because the bride and groom, young and on a budget, had a financial limit on how much they could afford to host. So sorry that paying for the guests alcohol was not a priority for them. As for considering the prices of the drinks to be ""outrageous,"" remember where you were at. It is a fine dining, French restaurant that carries only premium liquor...It's not Denny's! Perhaps the owner did not handle herself well when approaching issues with the bridesmaid referenced above, but after telling select guests several times to stop drinking the alcohol they had brought from home in the restaurant parking lot at least 3 times, she was fed up. As for her staff, they are wonderful servers. I know most by first name and would consider them friends after the great service they have provided for my family and I over the years. I stayed to help clean up. The bride and groom were overly happy with the evening and apologized for the disruptions caused by a few of their guests. It really is sad how only a few people in a large group can cause so much trouble. I am just glad I could be there to help the bride and groom wrap things up at the end of their special day and see that, for them, all was well. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, and More. more
