I just received notice that Summit Water Distribution will be raising our rates 37%. How are they supposed to get blood out of a turnip?
They say they are justified because they have not raised their rates since 1996. Okay, raise your rates but how about in incremental steps, say . . . 13 % over the next three years. It is already hard to make ends meet.
Lastly, where are the financial incentives to SAVE water. I get billed the same rate if I conserve half my alloted ration or if I use the it all.
