I've been taking my dog to Auburn for 2 years now. Dr. Utt is a great doctor - I think she really knows her stuff, and I think she is a good surgeon - my dog bounced back after emergency surgery.\r

I agree with another reviewer that she can be very moody. She is great with dogs - but not so great with their human owners. The new doctor, Dr. Artero, seems much more personable.\r

While the doctors are commendable, the office staff is severely lacking. When calling to make an appointment, I am usually on hold for at least 10 minutes - sometimes longer. Even with an appointment, I have had to wait in the waiting room and then the examination room for over an hour. At times, I have had to wait about 15 minutes after walking into the building before I have even been acknowledged. And, on my most recent visit, the staff's overly loud conversation was about hitting animals with their cars - not the most appropriate topic for an animal hospital.
