Four of us went to Taste of Texas as a treat to celebrate my raise. We chose Taste of Texas for the quality of food we remembered from a previous visit. Last night, 1/10/09, was not a treat. There was a male employee at the front door, I'm not sure if he was a host or a manager, but he dampened what could have been a nice evening. We waited for a table without complaint for an hour and then saw the number after ours go up on the digital board. We thought we might have missed our number and headed to the hostess stand. He acted as if we would be thrown out if we asked any questions about the numbers. I would say you could equate him to the "Soup Nazi" from the old Jerry Seinfeld show. Do not ask any questions or "No Steak For You!". The salad bar was great, the steaks were not. We all decided that we would not spend $40 each for a steak that was mediocre at best and a poor management attitude. As the host to my company's overseas guests, I will not take any of them or recommend Taste
