I've been going to Frankie's for the last two years, and so far I have not had the negative experiences that some of the people who have written reviews here have had. I will admit that sometimes the staff can use some polishing in the customer service department, but I sometimes think they're short staffed and has to mind a big pet store on top of taking care of the menagerie of animals there. \r

Frankie has always taken good care of my dog, a little guy who has major attitude and aggression issues. Many trainers have thrown in the towel with this dog - and I was desperate for a groomer who could take care of him. Frankie has been the only one who stepped up to the plate and never failed to do a great job. Frankie showed great compassion in handling him with a firm hand (NOT abusive, I assure you) and good control. Nails, shave, ears have always been done great - and remember, my dog is quite resistant of handling. The dog is now quite fond of Frankie, willingly going into his arms and the other helpers - now would an abused dog want to stay with his abusers? I think not.\r

I also have had the chance to look at Frankie's basement to take a peek at how he grooms the dogs. It is clean, and they let the dogs play around out of cages after their baths - if they are well-behaved. I couldn't believe my dog was out there playing with other small guys, happy as a clam. But I guess Frankie has all of them under great control so this situation could take place. Frankie has also taken my dog in for ""daycare"" during bath days, so he stays there playing until I pick up after work. Frankie has even accommodated me when I leave a little snack for my dog on these days.\r

All I can say is, use your judgment when choosing your pet's groomer. If you don't feel comfortable with the place, then move on. But I do think that FFF is worth a visit. Let's just not immediately accept snarky comments some reviewers have left on this website as gospel truth.
