Being Chinese American with extensive travel experience across the country, I've learned to expect little from Chinese restaurants outside of the few large metropolitan areas. After dining here, I really had to wonder how low the bar had to be set. My wife and I took my kid to U of I, and because she's still naive about Chinese dining in the more remote areas of the country, she pointed me to this restaurant which looks nice in a fairly classy downtown setting. Unfortunately, that is where the merit stops and demerit starts. We ordered a soup, two meat plates, and steamed rice. The only edible piece was the steam rice. The meats had obviously passed their time, and I did not have to taste them to tell - the appearance already broadcasted that they were from cows or chickens slaughtered before the last Republican was elected to the White House.
Pros: Location in a classy downtown
Cons: Food not edible
