I was excited to see my friend play here because of the Bitter End's history, but ended up being very disappointed in the sound. I'm sure the sound system is "modern" as they say, but they need a new sound guy. He seems to have lost his high-end hearing, and cranked the treble way up. There was no "kick" to the low end. The amount of reverb could have been dialed back a bit as well; it was distracting when quieter performers had their S's ringing out behind their words.
Pros: decent service, good booking
Cons: bad sound balance
