I took my husband here for his birthday dinner. The place is really lovely and we were seated promptly. The bartender has no idea how to make a perfect Manhatten though. After first undrinkable attempt, our waiter brought another which was only marginally better (should've gone with a martini as the cocktail menu lists dozens of them). Waiter advised us that most people order ""at least 2"" of the small plates each and if we wanted more he could easily add it on at the end. fortunately we went with 2 plates each as they were average size servings. The fruit/nut/cheese/olive plate my husband ordered would easily have served as a little plate for 2. My salad was normal sized and unmemorable. Wine list was nice with many lovely by the glass selections. The biggest complaint was when my husband was served his hot food (some rather forlorn looking - though tasty - beef brochettes served on a white plate with no bit of color to greet the eye), I was told my hamburger would be along in ""about 5 minutes"". Sorry, NOT ACCEPTABLE FOLKS, it's a drag to watch your dining partner dig in while you twiddle your thumbs, equally a drag to think of waiting while your food goes cold just so you can dine together, which was sort of the point of the meal afterall. My burger was big and tasty and I couldn't finish it. All in all it was about what you'd pay for a burger and salad at any upscale place. A nice spot but not memorable enough for a special occasion meal.
Pros: the decor, wine list
Cons: size of servings
