I took an ibook g4 to the apple store and was directed to this place to buy some RAM (one gig). The apple store told me what I was looking for should cost about $40-$50. When I got to Tek Serve, they helped me right away. I told the guy what I wanted and he quoted me $150. I told him I didn't want them to install it, I just wanted to buy it. Yea, $150. Are you sure, I just came from the apple store where the told me something else? I had the computer with me and showed it to him. He opened it and said yep, that's a g4, $150. I asked him how much 512 would be and he said $99.\r

Now, I can't prove this, but I'm almost positive that the guy sized me up as someone who didn't know anything about computers and was attempting to rip me off. I came home and ordered what I needed from Crucial for $50. I won't be going to that donkey hole again.
