I've been going to F Street Station for the last five years and until recently it has been a nice, welcoming watering hole for both locals and out-of-towners. However, the service has declined, the staff is at best indifferent but more often openly hostile to non-locals, and management supports bar-fighting punks rather than maintaining a nice, welcome atmosphere. The place has become dangerous with local hockey-punks openly picking fights with non-locals and their behavior is defended by the wait-staff. Local police seem to ignore the problem. Certainly the place is now too dangerous for the average person; strongly recommend you avoid F Street on your visit to the Anchorage central business district.
Cons: Dangerous to visitors
