I've been frequenting TekServe for the past three years and have NEVER had a problem. The service is always very professional. In '05 I had my mac Mini's CD drive repaired under the warranty for free. No problem. Recently I had an airport card installed in my mac Mini. Since my Mac is relatively old, the items needed for installation had to be special-ordered. However, TekServe didn't charge me for that. When I was dropping off my Mac for service, I accidentally lost my wallet in the store. One of the guys from TekServe left me a message on my phone about it, and Tekserve stored my wallet for me in a safe place until I was able to come pick it up. They didn't have to go through the effort of finding out who the wallet belonged to and it that person was one of their customers, but they did. I appreciate that.
I'm very surprised at some of the one-star reviews here. I think what's happening is that some people go into TekServe not knowing what they want and not knowing how to talk about what they want. If you show some semblance of intelligence, the very dedicated and professional staff will work with you to find the best possible solution. However, if you place demands on them that stem out of a place of ignorance and lack of understanding of how computers work, then they will have no patience with you. Some people simply don't like to do their part.
Pros: Professional, will help you get the best deal.
Cons: Can't think of any.
