My parents who are in their 80's recently because of the floods suffered water damage in their basement and their 2 yr. old hot water heater did not work. They called Bishop Plumbing to see if they could fix it.
They were told by the plumber that it couldn't be fixed (even though he did not look at it) and they needed a new one which he could install that day. He first quoted them a price of $2700 but then said he would do it for only $2100 so my parents thought they were given a fair price. When they told us the next day what they had paid we were stunned. I called three different plummers and they all quoted a price under $1,000.
The last plummer I spoke with couldn't believe the price they were charged and asked the name of the company. When I said the company was from Des Plaines he said is it Bishop Plumbing and I said yes. He said they have the reputation for ripping people off . I am so angry with Bishop Plumbing for taking advantage of two senior citizens who are on fixed incomes and didn't know any better. I will tell everyone I know to never do business with Bishop Plumbing and I hope anyone that reads this do the same.
